It was a different world in 1949, when Ed Newsome, Sr. left his job as a vice-president for an air conditioner distributor to start what is today Albany Air Conditioning & Heating Co., Inc. Keeping people comfortable in their homes and businesses was simple by today’s standards. Terms such as “computer controlled thermostats”, “government efficiency ratings” and “global warming” didn’t even exist in science fiction novels.
One thing that has remained constant over these almost 50 years is what it takes to make a business grow and prosper.
